What we store

At registration — your name and email address. The password is kept only as an irreversible hash; not even we can read it.

While you practise — your progress: exercise results, reading speed, finished lessons, the words in your dictionary, the books and articles you uploaded. This is the service itself: without that data there is nothing to draw on a progress chart.

Technical data: interface language, reader settings, device type and the address a request came from. They are needed to render the page correctly and to catch failures.

Card data

We neither see nor store your card number. Payments are handled by the payment platforms — lava.top и Whop — and the card details stay with them.

What comes back to us is only what access needs: that a payment happened, the plan, the period, the subscription id, and the last four digits of the card, so that you can see in Settings what you paid with.

Who else receives it

The payment platforms, to take a payment and to refund one. The mail provider, to deliver the letters you expect: registration, password reset, and the newsletter if you subscribed to it.

Nobody else. We do not sell your data and do not pass it on for advertising.

Email

Service letters — registration, payment, password reset — always arrive: without them the service cannot be used.

The newsletter arrives only if you subscribed to it. Every such letter carries an unsubscribe link that works in one click, without signing in.

How long we keep it, and how to delete it

For as long as you have an account. You can delete it yourself in profile settings — progress, dictionary and uploaded books go with it.

What remains afterwards is the payment records: we are required to keep those for accounting. They hold no name, no progress and no uploaded files.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, or delete your account. Write to damian@readeater.com — we will answer and do it.
