What this is

ReadEater is a speed-reading trainer. Not a video course and not a list of tips: a set of exercises you do yourself, and a programme that walks you through them in order.

It is built on techniques long described in reading research: guiding the eye, reading in groups of words, suppressing subvocalisation, widening peripheral vision, RSVP. We do not promise a thousand words a minute with comprehension intact — promises like that are what make speed reading sound like a trick.

Who makes it

The service is built and maintained by Andrew Damian, MD.

We read everything that arrives through the contact form. Some of the exercises and fixes came from exactly there.
